ll and subsequent study into the Ministry of Lay Preacher commenced in 1992. I was commissioned into this privileged and fulfilling ministry on 20 July 1997. Each time I sit down to prepare and reflect on the readings set for each Sunday, I continue to be amazed and humbled to think and believe that God has called me to “Feed his sheep”. It is a challenge as I strive to connect and make relevant The Word of God to our everyday.
Jenny and I have been worshiping and involved in the life of Southside for 46 years. We have been Elders and involved in the Sunday School as it was in the Croydon Avenue UC Church. Jen’s love and commitment for teaching children flowed over into teaching scripture at South Tamworth Public School for 32 years. Jenny supports and acts as a sounding board for my Lay Preaching and accompanies me when I lead worship in other Churches other than Southside.
